The challenge

An engineering, procurement, and construction company wanted a membrane-based brine-treatment technology to replace a legacy thermal process.

The approach

Rick’s team developed, patented, and commercialized a new reverse-osmosis technology platform.

The work included leadership of R&D, membrane manufacturing, applications engineering, process engineering, competitive positioning, technical support, and business-unit management.

The result

A new osmotically assisted reverse osmosis (OARO) technology was developed, patented, commercialized, and incorporated into custom-engineered treatment solutions.

Status: Rick Stover’s prior professional experience. The first drawing is a figure from a patent and the second an equipment design drawing; the photos show OARO systems built on the platform.
